Susan Payne found her forever love while very young and raised a family of five children. After 54 years she is married to the same man whose sense of romance still takes her breath away. Through out her life she has spent hours a day reading all genres. Late in life she joined Romance Writers of America and began putting her stories down on paper. She now has over 85 manuscripts and six books in print with six more due to be released by the end of 2020. Although her main drive is for writing historical stories with a happy-ever-after ending, her desire for antique furniture comes very close. She has several eras prominently displayed through-out her home.

    I really loved this book. I wish I could easily find more like it. I liked the characters and found them believable. I liked how the writing painted a picture in my mind. I could see it so clearly. Going to look for more from this author. I like her writing style.

    ****Forever Kind of Woman is about a woman doctor who comes to the small Texas town of Forever, in 1886, thinking she is to become the bride of the local doctor, but finds him in love with someone else. Left to minister to the town alone, this far from shrinking violet must win over the hearts of townspeople and the heart of her first love. The author has created a heroine with spunk that should delight her readers as she faces the challenges of frontier life. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley.

    Forever Kind Of Woman by Susan Payne is a really great love story where Tess has to decide what's the best for her! The characters in this story are so believable and the story line is fantastic! First time reading this author and I will be looking for more of her writing. Go to Forever,Texas..wonder who's waiting for you!

    A beautiful western love story about a strong heroine—a doctor, no less, in the 1800s—who travels to Texas to work with and marry a stranger. The setting and characters come alive in this well-written historical romance. I found myself rooting for Tess at the very beginning and swooning over the hero throughout. Don’t miss this compelling read!

    I obtained a complimentary copy of Forever Kind of Woman in exchange for an honest review. This was a quick read that made the reader feel like they went back in time. The storyline had a lot to offer and there was even some built in conflicts.

    I was so disappointed that the author didn't exploit more chemistry between Tess and Sheriff Carter especially when they lived next to each other. The author also failed to tell any of the story from Sheriff Carter's viewpoint. Again, another lost opportunity to make this an exceptional historical romance.
